Hi, I’m Ann — the chef behind Born & Bread.

Originally from the U.S. and now based in Nesøya, Norway, I’ve spent more than 14 years working in kitchens across the American South, Southwest, Midwest, and here in Norway.

Food has always been about more than what’s on the plate for me. It’s about bringing people together, sharing something delicious, and creating those moments where everyone stays at the table a little longer.

My cooking is influenced by where I come from, where I live now, and all the kitchens and people I’ve encountered along the way. It’s American at heart, but shaped by my life in Norway.

I cook with quality ingredients, bold but balanced flavors, and a lot of care.

And because I only take on one party at a time, I’m able to be there for the whole experience
— not just the food.
